The City’s Wet Rhythm
Ritmo Molhado da Cidade
In this work I sought to capture New York’s pulse on a rainy day, where traffic, light and movement merge into a single rhythm. I was inspired by the city’s relentless energy and wanted to convey a sense of time in motion blur. I use a semi-figurative, semi-abstract style to suggest rather than describe, with lines and impasto creating texture and reinforcing the physicality of rain and asphalt.
