In this painting, I sought to capture the poetry of Lisbon’s hills, where houses, churches and the Pantheon rise like living memories. I wanted to express this blend of history and light through my semi-figurative, semi-abstract style, using geometric forms and impasto to create depth and movement. I hope viewers feel the city beyond what they see.
