Steps that Shape the Horizon
Passos que Moldam o Horizonte
In this work, I sought to capture the silent strength of maternal love. I chose to portray an elegant mother walking along the beach with her two children hand in hand to convey protection, continuity, and hope. The horizon symbolizes the future shaped step by step. I use a semi-figurative, semi-abstract style, with vertical lines and fragmented areas suggesting movement and depth. I apply impasto to create texture and physical relief, making light and matter almost tactile.
