Sound Drawing Absence

O Som que Desenha a Ausência

I sought to translate the emotional depth of the cello into a dreamlike, illusory space. In this cellist, I aimed to convey silence, absence, and inner resonance. I use a semi-figurative, semi-abstract style, with lines and shapes suggesting echo and displacement. The impasto creates texture, as if sound could be touched. I chose this theme for its introspective nature — I hope the viewer feels the music beyond the visible.
